Pope St. John Paul II recognized that humanity images God most of all in our "capacity for communion," a capacity fulfilled in marriage between one man and one woman, open to offspring. Never before has culture conspired so vehemently against the likeness and image of God present in marital and family life. Never before have basic assumptions about the inherent dignity of manhood, womanhood, conception, and love been so obscured. Thanks be to God for John Paul II's wonderful witness to love and life, especially through his "Theology of the Body." [ event ]
